About the project
Young people are not passive users. They are explorers.
Digital Jungle is a 24-month European cultural and educational project combining critical thinking, digital literacy, transmedia arts, digital ecology and online resilience.

Every day, young people across Europe enter a digital environment shaped by algorithms, notifications, viral content, endless scroll, misinformation and invisible systems of attention capture. This environment can be inspiring and creative, but it can also be confusing, addictive, manipulative and emotionally demanding.
Digital Jungle is a two-year European project that responds to this challenge through critical thinking, digital literacy, transmedia arts and online resilience. The project helps young people understand the digital spaces they inhabit, question what they see, reflect on their habits, and use digital tools for storytelling, creativity and civic expression.
Led by a European consortium from the Czech Republic, Italy, Ukraine and Spain, Digital Jungle brings together educators, artists, media literacy experts, cultural organisations and youth communities. Together, the partners develop and test workshops, creative labs, a summer school, hackathons, XR storytelling formats, public events and open educational resources.
The project will produce a multilingual Digital Jungle Toolkit and Facilitator Guide, published openly so that schools, cultural organisations, youth workers and communities across Europe can use and adapt the methodology beyond the project lifetime.
Digital Jungle is funded by the European Union under the Creative Europe programme.
